Playforce - Official Partner of The Challenger Trust

Playforce becomes an Official Partner of The Challenger Trust

Playforce, creators of outstanding outdoor spaces, have announced a new long term partnership with The Challenger Trust, which supports schools to help young people to fulfil their true potential.

The Challenger Trust supports schools to help young people to fulfil their true potential. They believe that a comprehensive programme of character development will typically include a blend of outdoor education, role model presentations, pupil to pupil supervision, curriculum trips, cultural tours, sports fixtures, enterprise training, careers talks, music camps and personal development expeditions overseas.

Playforce was one of the first to offer a complete, consultative approach to developing tailored outdoor spaces for the education sector. By taking the time to meet each customer and understand their needs, they ensure that every project delivers the very best outcomes for a school, nursery or group of settings. As part of the award-winning TCL Group, Playforce also offer a range of other outdoor services, including landscaping and grounds maintenance, meaning they are now uniquely positioned to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ for everything outdoors, not only within the education sector, but also in the leisure and local government sectors.

On 8th March, 2017, The Challenger Trust will present new research from Relational Schools, a research consultancy group, examining the link between character development and academic attainment, where the partnership will be formally announced. Within the partnership, which was brokered by sponsorship agency, Bastion Connect, Playforce’s support enables further research to be undertaken, and gives them an opportunity to share their work with relevant bodies, as well as the sharing of co-created content and success stories.

Mark Wood, Managing Director for Playforce, commented; “Playforce has always championed the benefits of outdoor education alongside other activities to help children develop a variety of essential life skills, and so we are delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside the Challenger Trust and help children across the UK fulfill their potential.”

Charlie Rigby, Founder of the Challenger Trust, added; “This is an exciting time for the Challenger Trust as we work towards building our capacity to improve the social mobility of many more young people around the UK, and we thank the directors of Playforce for supporting The Challenger Trust vision and helping us achieve our aim.”

Double Your Donations with The Big Give Christmas Challenge

1st - 8th December 2020

The Christmas Challenge, founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Alec Reed CBE, is the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign which helps UK charities raise funds for their cause. It offers supporters of The Challenger Trust the opportunity to have all donations doubled on when the campaign goes live on #GivingTuesday, 1st December 2020. The Christmas Challenge will be complete on the 8th December 2020. You will, of course, be able to donate to the Challenger Trust outside of this window.

Every donation we receive goes a long way to helping achieve our charity's mission. Your donations help to fund initiatives that promote the development of vital character attributes, such as resilience, determination, and self-confidence. Financial worries are often a barrier for accessing these programmes, and many are missing out on the opportunities to raise their aspirations, fully engage in the education system and improve their academic achievement. The Christmas Challenge means that every pound you donate during this period will be twice as valuable this year.

We very much hope that you would like to donate to our charity, and please remember that we welcome your support at all times of the year. The Challenger Trust works the whole year round to support character development in schools across the country, and we are always available to discuss our causes and initiatives.
